What is the difference between the doors supplied by Pre-Fit door and the doors supplied the big retail chains?
Quality is the first difference, the interior doors by Pre-Fit door have thicker styles and rails, and are made of real wood not particle boards which hold the screws better. Our exterior doors are better designed with R-15 thermal rating, thermal break, reinforced hinge and lock set and we use better quality sill and weather stripping. All of our exterior doors have a metal edge which will not warp and comes with a 20-year transferable warranty. We also have a larger selection to choose from and the ability to modify doors for special rough openings. Pre-Fit Door hangs all of our doors on frames and jambs at our locations, unlike the big chains.

How long does it take for the doors I order to be complete and ready to ship?
Normal lead-time is two to three days depending on workloads. But we can work with you if you get into a "rush situation". Special orders do take longer since we have to wait for the doors to arrive from the manufacturer.
